In this story we get a vibrantly detailed description of the secret process required to make a coven queen. We also see the beginnings of a rivalry that carries forward into other stories.
Blood Ritual is the first of Ms. Rosario’s books. I’ve been reading them out of order but if you haven’t read any yet, I recommend starting with this one and progressing in order.
As with everything else I’ve read by this author, the writing is smooth flowing and beautifully descriptive. An excellent beginning to this vampire collection.
